Kanon Matsuda Piano Recital

April 7, 2015

Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall

Here is her profile (in Japanese) and a performance motion picture.
She is slender but her performance is strong and manly.

She went to Moscow at 6 years old to study playing piano, and the first Japanese pianist who publish her CD from the Deutsche Grammophon.

The pieces in this recital were Beethoven, Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Skryabin, Schumann, Tchaikovsky, and Pachelbel.
Above all, I think these Chopin' piece (ballade No.1 and polonaise No.6) performances are very fantastic.
Also, Pachelbel's canon are very famous and I like this very much. This performance was arranged by Mr. Ken Fujimitsu, and this arrangement was also very fantastic.
Adding, this piece became very gorgeous and moving by Kanon's performance.

I like her strong, straight, reliable, and pure piano sound.

I knew him through a South Korean TV drama; Horse Doctor.

It had been broadcasted by the Japanese state-run broadcast (NHK) for one year from July 2013 to 2014.
(This drama is planned to be broadcasted by NHK again from the end of September 2014.)
*We can see various scenes through the MBC homepage (http://www.imbc.com/broad/tv/drama/horsedoctor/).
I looked forward to seeing this drama every Sunday very much, and became a fan of him; Mr. CHO SEUNG WOO.
So, I browsed his information on the Web and found the following his fantastic voices.

I saw some movies he acted ever too, and I think he is an excellent actor, but we may not be able to enjoy all his talents by only his acting without singing......

The following voices are current my most favorites, though I can not understand the lyrics.

Regarding "Scheherazade", I would like to hear "live" this performance so much. It is very much lyric and I can feel various wonderful colours hearing this piece. (We can see such colours hearing music conducted by maestro Tomomi almost always.) I think it is very high quality and beautiful performance.

It is very hot in Tokyo now, but while I hear this music in this CD, it brings to my mind scenes at sea and I can feel coolness.....

I like the theme of "Scheherazade" played by the leader so much. It is very elegant indeed.

Actually, I did not like this tune so much before, but after I heard this CD, I am very interested in it now.

I also like "Les Preludes" in this CD so much. It is very impressive. This tun…

I have been able to have this audio book through an auction, and I listen this every night recently.
I can not understand the Korean language, but Mr. Cho Seung-Woo's very soft voice bring relief for me very much. So I can relax and sleep very well. It is very good for my health.

I was able to read the Japanese translation of this story, and describe the scenes in my mind. I think Mr. Cho Seung-Woo is very fit for the main character of this story...

His pictures on the poster and post cards enclosed are very young and so much pretty!

Also, the background music bring relief for me along the reading.

Here is a motion picture of his promotion for this audio book.
