Kanon Matsuda Piano Recital

April 7, 2015

Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall

Here is her profile (in Japanese) and a performance motion picture.
She is slender but her performance is strong and manly.

She went to Moscow at 6 years old to study playing piano, and the first Japanese pianist who publish her CD from the Deutsche Grammophon.

The pieces in this recital were Beethoven, Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Skryabin, Schumann, Tchaikovsky, and Pachelbel.
Above all, I think these Chopin' piece (ballade No.1 and polonaise No.6) performances are very fantastic.
Also, Pachelbel's canon are very famous and I like this very much. This performance was arranged by Mr. Ken Fujimitsu, and this arrangement was also very fantastic.
Adding, this piece became very gorgeous and moving by Kanon's performance.

I like her strong, straight, reliable, and pure piano sound.
